All instruments are scrubbed and dry or steam heat sterilization is used for all instruments after each patient, killing all pathogens (germs). Our instruments are bagged individually prior to sterilization in heat-sealed packages and opened just prior to use. Disposables are used whenever possible and are discarded after use. Disinfections are applied to chairs, countertops and other surface areas in all treatment rooms after each patient use. Other precautions include the proper disposal of sharp items and contaminated material. We operate an on-premises washer and dryer to ensure clean uniforms that meet all OSHA regulations.
